My focus is digital: I’m a writer and editor for online publications and blogs, and I teach and train professionals about launching/maintaining blogs, as well as digital analytics for marketing and content. I’m formerly an editor for Clamor Magazine and JSTOR Daily.I’ve been published in Chicago Sun-Times, Time Out Chicago, ALARM Magazine, Bitch Media, Paste Magazine, and more.
I’m the co-founder and publisher of The Learned Fangirl, a web publication focused on the geekier side of pop culture, fandom, and online community.
I’ve spoken about media and pop culture at Chicago Public Radio and at conferences including BlogHer and EMP Pop Conference.
I teach regularly at StoryStudio Chicago and I taught one of the first courses of its kind in analytics at Northwestern University.
